Here is what is happening around San Tan Valley in October 2026. Dates and times come from the community calendar at SanTanValley.com; confirm details before you go, since community schedules can change.

Fall Festivals and Halloween Fun

The San Tan Valley Fall Festival is Saturday, Oct. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Central Arizona College San Tan Valley campus, 3736 E. Bella Vista Rd. The evening includes trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a haunted hallway, science labs, music, games, and vendor and food markets. Admission and parking are free.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Costumes & Slices at Geno's Giant Slice, 2510 E. Hunt Highway, runs from 4 to 6 p.m. It is a free afternoon of trunk-or-treating, with decorated trunks hosted by local businesses and community groups.

Families with incoming kindergartners can stop by the Kinder Pumpkin Patch at Legacy Traditional School's San Tan Valley campus on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to current and future Legacy kindergarten families, with one pumpkin per child.

Markets and Community Gatherings

The San Tan Feastival returns Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot at 1725 W. Hunt Highway, with 15 to 25 food trucks and live music. Admission is free.

The C.A.M.P. Farmers Market is at LifePoint Church on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 to 11 a.m.; organizers suggest a $15 donation.

That same day, the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale and Silent Auction fills the San Tan Valley Library's Bronze Room from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with gently used books, movies, and puzzles. Silent-auction bidding on gift baskets runs from 1 to 3 p.m.

The American Legion Post 97 Community Blood Drive is Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Tan Valley Veterans Center.

Out at San Tan Mountain Regional Park

A ranger-led Sunset Walk is set for Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is a roughly 2-mile, mostly level walk on the Service Road, listening for nighthawks, owls, and coyotes as the light fades. The walk is free but limited to 25 people; register with the San Tan Nature Center by Monday, Oct. 5. The entry station will be closed, so bring $10 in exact cash for the self-pay station or display an annual pass.

Early risers can join the Sunrise Hike on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8:45 a.m.

At the San Tan Valley Library

The library keeps a full weekly slate: Adventures in Story Time on Tuesday mornings (ticketed), One More Chapter on Monday afternoons, Creative Haven on Thursday afternoons, and chair yoga and Yarn Crafters on Friday mornings. Other October programs include Yoga at the Library on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 4 p.m. (registration requested), Art Explore on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and the Master Gardeners of STV on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The full library calendar is on the events site.
